Dr. Darren Christiansen, D.C. was born and raised in Southern California and relocated his family to Texas in 2011. He attained his Bachelor of Science in Business with a concentration in finance from the University of Southern California. He answered the call to serve by earning his Doctor of Chiropractic and Masters in Functional Nutrition from Parker University.
Athletics has been an important part of Dr. Darren’s life, playing both baseball and soccer early in life and gaining a passion for long distant running as an adult. It is this passion of pushing his body to the extreme that guided his interests toward human physiology, performance, and optimal nutrition which ultimately led to his exploration of the chiropractic profession.
He started running shortly after leaving the military where he served as a U.S. Army Paratrooper, using many of the qualities learned therein to complete some of the most grueling 100-mile endurance runs in the country. In 2015 he completed the Grand Slam of Ultrarunning, which included running four of the oldest and most prestigious 100-mile endurance runs in the world, in an eleven-week time period.
His passion for learning, and drive for helping others has led to a profession that emphasizes conservative chiropractic care combined with therapeutic exercise, muscle work, and proper nutrition to assist the body in optimal healing.
Outside of the office Dr. Darren enjoys spending time with his wife Wendy and his five girls and has enjoyed watching them participate in many different sports and activities.
